2013

haha woot. Well if you're reading this now, good job. You've made it this far. You've made it through another year. If you were born somewhere in the middle of last year then good job. You're probably some genius child that can read at 6 months. I don't even know how that works but still.

So this is going to be a long post. So brace yourselves. Get some popcorn or something.

So what a year it's been. two days, still alive, doing pretty good. No, I mean in all seriousness, it's been quite the year. Went from Korea to starting the year off in Taiwan with the people I love: my family. They're all amazing people. Even the annoying little ones. Yeah, even those kids who started singing karaoke at 9 in the morning.

School was as it was, is what it is and will be what it will be. This year's going to be crazy. From what I've heard, it's gonna go by really fast.

Korea Haidong Gumdo World Championships were amazing. A completely new experience. Meeting people from all around the world and some new people from our own. Actually, I think this was the high point of the year. Everything was cheap but the weather was ridiculous. I know it's always worst on the first day because of we all had to adapt to the heat but still. I went through at least 10 bottles of water a day. Training wasn't like Australia obviously I mean how do you practice sword fighting without a sword? Join SKHDGD to find out ;) I DROVE PAST AN SM TOWN STUDIO ASDFJKL;

China Trip soon after. It was...interesting. I guess it's one of those trips that gets better as you go along. Bargaining is always something worth practicing. It takes a bit of effort to get something from $1050 to $390. It took 5 people to push it that far. Scaled 7 towers of the Great Wall in just under and hour. Did handstands at every monument possible. The Forbidden City, Great Wall, at the Terracotta warrior museum,  at the Bird's Nest.

Haidong Gumdo Nationals were good. There was some confusion around the places that everyone got. The guy reading the lists was a bit old and read the lines wrong. Initially, I didn't get a single medal. Then, it turns out that I got 1st place for everything but paper cutting. That's fine with me.

School ended with everyone moshing in the middle of F Block during Maths. Food in French, dull drama classes and really quite a boring music class too. Maths was, by far, the best.

Sydney was, again, one of those progressively better trips. There was this girl that I saw at the Rocks in the Markets. Our kinda followed each other subconsciously like we'd turn at a corner and the family would be there or we'd have walked on for a while and they'd "catch up". This went on for about an hour. Then we left  the Markets. Good market, by the way. So we went our own ways and did our own thing for a few hours. When we went to catch a bus home, guess who was there?

Yeah, it was her. So that was pretty crazy. It's like that Louis CK line: "Have you ever seen someone you don't know...again? It's like God has run out of extras for your life." Something like that.

So Girls' Generation came back.

So now that brings us to now. With you reading this sentence and me watching Louis CK's "Why" on youtube.

So to everyone, thanks for making last year one of my best, most interesting years of my life. And you guys should thank yourselves too. Where would we be if everyone was selfless? "If the cave-man had known how to laugh, History would have been different."

So cheers to you. Whoever you are, wherever you are.

Here's a gif dump.

Have a Happy New Year

A La Prochaine~
