10000 pageviews

No, I know, it's not 1000000 page views. It's not even 100000 views but for me, it's pretty darn good enough.

Tom might not be able to catch a mouse but at least he has swag.

So this thing came up when I was doing my Martial Arts research (as you do) and I found what they called "Sherlock Holmes' Martial Art" and it's pretty damn old. Think about it this way. We know what hapkido is (if you don't, it's an old martial art that's pretty damn awesome), so this martial art was made when the founder of hapkido was just a kid. So we're talking Victorian Era: Oscar Wilde, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Charles Dickens, Carroll Lewis. All of these.

Bartitsu is the name. Named after the founder Edward William Barton-Wright, the eclectic martial art uses many different techniques (mainly European) and incorporates them into an effective self-defence or as Barton-Wright called it: "Self defence in all its forms". It uses boxing, savate, wrestling, fencing and jujitsu to create the gentleman's fighting style with an edge of the East.

So that's just another thing to look onto.

That's it for now, I guess.

A la Prochaine.
