Oh my fucking god.

Less than 2 months to Amus Exam and I'm pretty screwed and there's year 12 coming up. Out of the two, I'm probably more worried about the Exam. Year 12...there's gonna be a lot of pressure but I'm going to be under a shit load of cunt bashing pressure in the next few months. Excuse my French.

This is what I'm feeling right now.

I'll probably be so wired after this that you'll find me on the streets like LET ME SHOW YOU THE DANCE OF MY PEOPLE

tl;dr I'm gonna be away for a while

Jim Caviezel is Jesus. You can google that.
"Set yourselves apart from this corrupt generation my brothers and sisters. You weren't made to fit in, you were born to stand out." - Jim Caviezel
You know when he was filming Passion of Christ, he was the age that Jesus would have been during that time. He had the same physique and he went through this ridiculous amount of pain. Dislocated shoulders during the crucifixion, he had pneumonia pneumonia and almost died and in the last scene of the movie, he was struck by lightning which literally shook the earth. You can check it out here.

Maybe I'm biased because I have a man-crush on Jim Jim's just naturally amazing but yeah, y'know. Whatever.

You know what I find a little sad? Well, it's not really sad, it's more...reminiscent. I've found that in these last few days, with all the kinds of music I've been listening to, I've been finding myself thinking about...

...Maplestory.
I dunno, maybe it's because I was talking to my friend about it and how we played the private server and we got to level 200 in about half an hour and "rebirthed" 3 times. Although, apparently there are like 7436759852376198 different "jobs" now.

I haven't found myself obsessing over a drama series in so long. Last time it was City Hunter. This time, it's Person of Interest. It's funny because both of them follow the same sort of idea: ex-military/pro martial artist leaves whatever association he was part of and runs loose with the crazy skills he has. Eventually, someone finds him and gives him a purpose. Throughout the episodes he pursues the targets he has been ordered to take care of. In terms of City Hunter, he kills all of his targets. In PoI, they take time to figure out whether the target is a victim or a perpetrator. In City Hunter, he kills five people over like 20 episodes. In PoI, he takes care of a case every episode.

The really good thing about Person of Interest is that it leads you to think that this is going to be the conclusion only to lead you to a whole new what-the-fuck ending.

Aside from those differences, they both have pretty handsome leading roles. No homo. But I mean look at this beautiful man.

I think he's doing pretty great for the late 40's. This guy was Jesus, man (Passion of Christ). Which means he's Morgan Freeman's son.

That's pretty neat.

Aside from all that, I'm absolutely loving this weather. Ugh, it's amazing. it's a fucking typhoon out there.

Don't bother translating that on google translate; it's hardly ever accurate.

Maybe you could do something like
"Je veux quelque chose à faire" first and "chez moi" after that and you'll get the gist of it.

nonononono. Actually, you can just not put a full stop at the end and it'll be fine.

That works.

Unless, of course, you speak fluent French in which case you can correct my grammar (?)

For the lazy, it means I'm bored.

How about this, if you can, find me on Omegle. I'll be under the interests "Ninjas"

Ask "How can you keep away from ninjas?"
and I'll respond "Ninjas can't catch you if you're on fire."

Just try it out :P

I'm not sure about you, but I'd class 4:30am as early. Last night, my parents were watching some Chinese drama and had no idea that they were keeping me up with their almost-full-blast-because-they're-half-deaf Chinese dialogue so instead of falling asleep at 10pm, I managed to fall half asleep at around 12. That's what it felt like anyway. Still, I managed to get up at 4:30.

It's a really good feeling, walking around the street when the street lights are still on, there's little to no sunlight and you're the only one there. The only things you can hear are your shallow breaths and the soft crunch as you walk along the dew-soaked pavement. The slightest breath of the wind whispers past your cheek as if to remind you that it's there. The scent of the overnight rain is still fresh and the leaves of the tree bow in offering of the dew that it bears.

If you've ever lay down in the middle of a road, you'll know how relaxing it is. Letting go of the idea that a car might come by and run you over or better still, letting that idea sit and being aware of the fact that a car might come by and run you over being okay with that. Well, no one's looking, heck, no one's probably awake yet.

So I'm half-asleep now, just typing this so I'm sorry for anything that really doesn't make sense.

Y'know, the scary thing about being up at this time is that the forest area near my place looks exactly like a zombie's gonna pop out of nowhere. Not even kidding. I'll take pictures next time.

F*** it, I'm going to sleep.

A la Prochaine.

Yes, it's only 9:30 in the morning.

I. Am. DYING. hoshit. breathe, Eddie, breathe.

I guess someone had to do it.
I think these holidays were the only ones where I actually got a life when I wasn't overseas. Take the last few days as and example.

Friday: I managed to get up at 4:30 in the morning for a run and got back just in time for the sunrise.
Saturday: I went for a 7:30 Tai Chi class at MacGregor primary and bought my textbooks and a few other "important" things
Sunday: Tai Chi, same place, same time only there was a sword class starting at 8:30 which was convenient because that went until 9:30 which gave me some time to have a shower and clean up before church which...I didn't end up attending.

I really like the Saturday class because the class starts at 7:30 and goes until 8:30 (sometimes a little overtime) and Gumdo starts at 9:30. So I can have a class at 7:30 have breakfast between 8:30 and 9:00 and walk over to Gumdo. Convenient.

With Sunday, it's pretty much the same thing but instead of Gumdo I go to church and instead of leaving at 8:30, I leave at 9:30.

I've managed to revise some maths, a fair bit of card magic and Korean.

Not bad.

Reddit. Like tumblr, reddit is one of those websites that sap your life away and you'll just spend hours scrolling and browsing. If you guys are interested, I could refer you to some subreddits. In general, just visit these few links:
 - /r/aww
 - /r/funny
 - /r/pics
  -/r/iama
  -/r/askreddit
or you could just stick to the front page.
They call reddit the "front page of the internet" for a reason. Some pretty amazing people are on reddit. A few days ago, Arnold Schwarzenegger was on IAmA. Obama, PSY did one, Bear Grylls, Louis CK, etc. There were a lot of requests for JK Rowling but...no response. You know she lost her billionaire status because she donated so much of it to charity?

Anyway, in case you're interested, my most oftenly browsed subreddits are:
 - Pretty much anything on the front page or the first 14 or 15 subreddits on the top bar
 - /r/RoomPorn (SFW)
 - /r/WoahDude (hey, I don't actually do drugs or anything)
 - /r/kpics
 - /r/kpop
 - /r/SNSD
Probably a few more but that's just off the top of my head.
If you're a girl and you're into some Asian guy model/actor/singer/ you could check out /r/asianladyboners
You can thank me later.

That's about it from me.

If you do end up on reddit, have fun and I'm sorry in advance :P

Someone posted it on twitter and I know some of you really appreciate Harry Potter. You can find it here.

It's only 800 or so words but it was rather worth it. Short 'n' sweet right?

That's all I wanted to post so...yeah

A la Prochaine~
I found this game on reddit (oh reddit, the shit I find) in the AskReddit Subreddit. The question was: "What's the most fucked up game you've played?" You can check it out if you like; they're all just redneck games 'n' stuff.

The main aim of Assassin is to "kill" the other "assassins". Killing is done by swiping the back of the neck of another player (assassin) with a sharpie and this goes on until there's one person left. Rules are made before school so if you don't make it before school then you don't play. Simple. The downside to this game is that other people might randomly start joining in and that would really suck.

I don't know why that was posted; that's not even close to "fucked up". It actually sounds pretty awesome.

Maybe we could try. It'll probably end up being banned and the principal will say that if he catches anyone with a sharpie, they'll be suspended.

That just makes it even more fun :D

The Hobbit is just. asdfjkl;asdjfkl;asdf ja;fdslhajl;hajklj.

OK so I see all these things shipping Bilbo and Thorin on tumblr and they're pretty much right about that. So yeah, the cinematography is amazing.Generally, everything about the movie is awesome. If you haven't watched it, go watch it. I haven't read the books yet (which I'm sure are amazing) and I loved the movie. If you have watched it then well, I dunno, go watch it again? I'll come with.

I saw this joke on reddit and it's pretty sexist but still, it made me chuckle.
What's the difference between Iron Man and Iron Woman?

One's a superhero, the other is a command.

Made me chuckle.

So in the last post, I asked some of you to pick a number between 1 and 50 and it had to be 2 digits and whatnot. It was pretty much a bit of experimenting with an activity I read in "Sleights of Mind" by Stephen L Macknick and Susan Martinez-Conde. Basically, it's a journey through magic and its relationship with neuroscience. It talks about aspects such as retention of vision and the myth of multitasking. One of areas is mentalism. That's where the activity comes in but I won't delve too far into it. What I did, well attempted, was something called priming. I tried to "make you" think about a number. Forcing, if you like. From the two responses I got, I was pretty close but I won't say what I was after.

Here's another little "activity". I was shown this one when I was about 7 and I loved it. It was performed by David Copperfield.

What I'm aiming to do is have you send a telepathic message to me regarding which card you picked and we'll see what happens. Sounds like a load of shit, I know. Just try it.

Instructions:
Ok so first up, you're going to pick one card and focus on it. To make sure that you remember it, close your eyes and keep a clear and vivid image of that card in your head. Next, I want you to shout the name of the card but don't make a sound. I hope that makes sense.

Did I get it?

I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out pretty soon. Once you have, come to me and show me~

I kid. But honestly, try it on your friends in packs of three to seven. It's much more fun to do when you find out by yourself.

Don't forget to comment the results :P

Ok so here's how it goes. I won't reveal the ending but according to my brother, it was way too predictable. There were three main characters but we'll focus on Joe. Joe (JGL) is a Looper which means he kills people who are sent from the future and disposes of them in the present where they technically don't exist. These victims are called Loops. Loops are sent wrapped up in a dark brown cloth, gagged and hooded. Once a Loop is sent, you tie it. But since it's in the future, sometimes Loopers ended up "killing themselves". This is called "Closing the Loop" and in a some situations, the Loop ends up running. This leads to pretty bad consequences for both parties.

So one day, Joe is on the job but this time the Loop arrives late without being wrapped, gagged or hooded (this hardly ever happens) and who else could it be but Joe himself.

So the first half of the movie is great. The concept is good, the ideas are great and the way Future Joe comes back is pretty awesome. Then the movie goes a little downhill. Everything becomes rather...predictable.

I'll  leave that to you but that's just my opinion. I'm just saying that they could have made more out of it but they're right, though, that all this time travel shit just fries your head like an egg.

Do you guys remember when we tried to stop Kony?

Just thought about it sometime today and I just thought, y'know, it was a bit of a flop. Bit like Pottermore.

So I might or might not have stayed up a while listening to anything and everything sung by IU last night. Because, well, she has a freaking amazing voice and she's only 19. How does a girl that age have a voice like that. She debuted when she was 15 and release her first album a year later which reached No. 1 in 3 weeks. Now she's singing along with the top stars since she's one of them anyway. Plus she's super cute.

I heard one of her songs on SBS PopAsia (gosh, I haven't watched that in ages) and BAM. I dunno what happens next but anyway she's become one of my favourite artists alongside BigBang, SNSD, SHINee, CNBLUE, J.ae, Phantom, Clazziquai and of course FT Island. I'm pretty sure EXO's in there somewhere. They're just a little new in my list. So yeah.

I just wanna try something. What you're going to do first is grab a piece of paper and something to write with. I'm going to get you to read through the things to do and please follow the instructions as quickly and as accurately as possible. Now I normally do this with 3 to 7 people but we'll try this with you.

Think of a number between 1 and 50
It must be a double-digit number.
Both digits must be odd.
One digit must be larger than the other.
Write down the number.

Could you be so kind as to comment your number on this post?

That would be great. This is just something I got off this book I was reading.

That'll be all from me.

So I found this comic because, well, let's face it, Matt's pretty amazing. No really, he's pretty good at drawing stuff and making up ideas but this comic (and the one about his dog) is pretty close to home for him. Check it out.

So yeah, count your blessings. Don't count the days, make the days count.

So the internet's been down and I can't say I've been making the days count. Especially not in this ridiculously hot weather. The whole of Australia looks like a massive eye of death or something. Temperature over Australia at Sat Jan 12 17:00:00 2013 AEDT

Actually, the dark bit kinda looks like Cubone's skull-mask.

So that's Saturday's forecast.

My brother said that Bieber was caught smoking weed and to be honest, it's not really that big of a deal. Lindsay Lohan, that Richie Rich kid, Matthew Mitcham (when he was at high school, haha get it? high school. I'm sorry), Miley Cyrus, at least one of the guys from 1D, and probably a whole lot more. I'm a little disappointed in myself for looking these up in the first place but you get the picture. We shouldn't be bothered in these kinds of things. Maybe in Bieber's case, he should be a little more careful with what he does, seeing as he's pretty much a superstar. A good example: Bald for Bieber. So yeah. tbh that was pretty, well, effective. Actually 4chan is pretty much responsible for anything weird, like grenades in toilets, "How to Triforce" and Battletoads. I seriously hope no one is dumb enough to "Triforce" their computer, let alone play with a live grenade. Battletoads, on the other hand...
tl;dr don't go on 4chan.

So I've gradually been walking into the realms of EXO and I'm pretty sure that's a good thing. I mean aside from the fact that my friend thinks I'm turning gay - or at least bi - I'm just "extending my musical range" right? We'll put it that way.

Fuck this, I'm going back to my comfortably cool and chill air-conditioned room for the rest of the week day.

I don't think I have much better to do now on these holidays. I could learn how to pick locks or keep learning Korean but there's only just over 3 weeks of holidays left and I'll probably dedicate them to tumblr and procrastination.

Anyway, I found three PoTC movies on my computer and

So yeah, that's something to do other than fangirl boying over GG's comeback. Mainly because asdfjkl; IGAB. I Got a Boy. More like I got a gay friend to do fix up my makeup, paint my nails, harass, have tea with, feed cotton candy, tie my shoelaces and whatnot. Don't get me wrong there, I loved it.

Their "new" song Dancing Queen was meant to be release on their First Mini-Album but they replaced it with Gee which turned out to be an evident success. I think either would've been a good success but if they released Gee this year, it probably could've been another Gangnam Style only with nine really good looking Korean Girls and a dance that would make my brother think that they were just doing a really crap version of "Crip Walking".

So yeah, aside from that, I've been obsessing about a few martial arts namely, TKD, Kung Fu and HdGd. Hdgd, I just need to wait till next year for black belt. TKD seems like a lot of fun but it's just that it'll take me at least 3 years to reach black belt. But before I touch TKD, I'm going back to Kung Fu because I kinda ditched them and went back to HdGd. Kung Fu seems more practical in more street situations. Every move they teach is much more sophisticated and less on-the-surface than most martial arts.

I'm saying this because a) I'm genuinely interested in my future in martial arts and; b) no one in my family (and frankly, no one else) is interested in my musings about my future. Sure, of course there's no harm in break dancing which is why Eric should keep doing hollowback head stands next to a piano. "You should do music or IT or something that's not physical". Then the lecture. Then they walk away like:

Cut the shit part. I haven't taken a shit outside of the toilet ugh why would you do that anyway.

So yeah, that's me right now. Not taking shits out of a toilet.

I'm liking my tumblr right now. It's getting there. Though my brother still makes fun of me saying it's a girl's blog. Then again, I'm not exactly the straightest guy in the family.

Oh well, fuck it right? That's the kind of attitude that gets me through some days.

I really didn't know what to do with the title. Frankly, I didn't care that much either.

The Picture of Dorian Gray. Aside from it being the book that we're reading for English this year, it's an amazing book in general. All of the infinite detail it goes into about the human mind and there's this bit in it that talks of those times that I'm sure we've all experienced. Those times when we happen to wake up at some ungodly hour and find ourselves shrouded in darkness and that's when our mind begins to roam.

"There are few of us who have not sometimes wakened before dawn, either after one of those dreamless nights that make us almost enamoured of death, or one of those nights of horror and misshapen joy, when through the chambers of the brain sweep phantoms more terrible than reality itself, and instinct with that vivid life that lurks in all grotesques, and that lends to Gothic art its enduring vitality, this art being, one might fancy, especially the art of those whose minds have been troubled with the malady of reverie. Gradually white fingers creep through the curtains, and they appear to tremble. In black fantastic shapes, dumb shadows crawl into the corners of the room, and crouch there. Outside, there is the stirring of birds among the leaves, or the sound of men going forth to their work, or the sigh and the sob of the wind coming down from the hills, and wandering round the silent house, as though it feared to wake the sleepers, and yet must needs call forth sleep from her purple cave. Veil after veil of thin dusky gauze is lifted, and by degrees the forms and colours of things are restored to them, and we watch the dawn remaking the world in its amazing pattern.
Nothing seems changed."
That part was my favourite. I dunno, that and the few paragraphs after that were simply a work of art. Gosh that sounded cliched.

Anyway, I ordered three decks of cards 2 weeks ago and I haven't got them yet D: which is disappointing.

Actually, I'm just looking for something to talk about and I'm lost so I'll just leave it there.

Hold on. nononono. You know what I should do? I should make an SNSD tumblr. idk. It's just an idea. I mean, more than half my likes are: SNSD, EXO, Big Bang or SHINee related. Mainly the first two but still. I might as well.

Oh well.

haha woot. Well if you're reading this now, good job. You've made it this far. You've made it through another year. If you were born somewhere in the middle of last year then good job. You're probably some genius child that can read at 6 months. I don't even know how that works but still.

So this is going to be a long post. So brace yourselves. Get some popcorn or something.

So what a year it's been. two days, still alive, doing pretty good. No, I mean in all seriousness, it's been quite the year. Went from Korea to starting the year off in Taiwan with the people I love: my family. They're all amazing people. Even the annoying little ones. Yeah, even those kids who started singing karaoke at 9 in the morning.

School was as it was, is what it is and will be what it will be. This year's going to be crazy. From what I've heard, it's gonna go by really fast.

Korea Haidong Gumdo World Championships were amazing. A completely new experience. Meeting people from all around the world and some new people from our own. Actually, I think this was the high point of the year. Everything was cheap but the weather was ridiculous. I know it's always worst on the first day because of we all had to adapt to the heat but still. I went through at least 10 bottles of water a day. Training wasn't like Australia obviously I mean how do you practice sword fighting without a sword? Join SKHDGD to find out ;) I DROVE PAST AN SM TOWN STUDIO ASDFJKL;

China Trip soon after. It was...interesting. I guess it's one of those trips that gets better as you go along. Bargaining is always something worth practicing. It takes a bit of effort to get something from $1050 to $390. It took 5 people to push it that far. Scaled 7 towers of the Great Wall in just under and hour. Did handstands at every monument possible. The Forbidden City, Great Wall, at the Terracotta warrior museum,  at the Bird's Nest.

Haidong Gumdo Nationals were good. There was some confusion around the places that everyone got. The guy reading the lists was a bit old and read the lines wrong. Initially, I didn't get a single medal. Then, it turns out that I got 1st place for everything but paper cutting. That's fine with me.

School ended with everyone moshing in the middle of F Block during Maths. Food in French, dull drama classes and really quite a boring music class too. Maths was, by far, the best.

Sydney was, again, one of those progressively better trips. There was this girl that I saw at the Rocks in the Markets. Our kinda followed each other subconsciously like we'd turn at a corner and the family would be there or we'd have walked on for a while and they'd "catch up". This went on for about an hour. Then we left  the Markets. Good market, by the way. So we went our own ways and did our own thing for a few hours. When we went to catch a bus home, guess who was there?

Yeah, it was her. So that was pretty crazy. It's like that Louis CK line: "Have you ever seen someone you don't know...again? It's like God has run out of extras for your life." Something like that.

So Girls' Generation came back.

So now that brings us to now. With you reading this sentence and me watching Louis CK's "Why" on youtube.

So to everyone, thanks for making last year one of my best, most interesting years of my life. And you guys should thank yourselves too. Where would we be if everyone was selfless? "If the cave-man had known how to laugh, History would have been different."

So cheers to you. Whoever you are, wherever you are.

Here's a gif dump.

Have a Happy New Year
