I swear, the amount of food I'm looking at isn't exactly healthy for me. It really makes me feel skinny knowing that I haven't eaten any of this but i really, really want to try at least a few of them.

Start off with the sandwiches

And a bit of everything else

Then, some dessert:

DAT CAKE COOKIE CAKE.

And I'm loving the storm as well. my desk just started shaking hoshit this is good.

Anyway, that's about it.

Man, I gotta say, that study leave is pretty awesome right now. But then again, it's only the first two days. Just wait till next week: an English exam on Monday, Maths on Wednesday, Reading and Writing French on Friday as well as ITS on Friday afternoon.

Oh well, there's always tomorrow right? :P

but. BUT. graduation. my GOD the graduation. *cries*

We're gonna be year 12s next year. hoshit dude. It feels like year 8 was last term and this year felt like one term and they said next year would feel go back like *snaps fingers*.

oh gosh, I'm gonna get so sick from this ice cream. It's pretty much all I've had: two iceblocks and two bowls of ice cream.

Nothing much today. Just a bunch of annoying as F*** year 8s and 9s (and a few year 10s) on the bus.

found a new webcomic: Doctor Cat Md.

Go check it out :D

I swear that if you pull some kind of shit one more time, it's not physical punishment you'll be getting (you never know), no, your credibility will be shot down pretty damn low and your beloved reputation will probably go with it. That's from my point of view, anyway but don't let that get you down, I want to see what you do this time and I'll try to use that against you and being a Christian, you should know very well that lust is one of the seven deadly sins but hey, I'm an atheist, what can I say? Lucky me.

So that was a little dark but it doesn't really get better from here. I've been thinking a little (too much) lately. So if you're not feeling your best, I'd advise that - at this point - stop reading after this sentence and go look at some pictures of food or some cute stuff on /aww.

I've been thinking about death and how interesting it is as an atheist. Sure there's a release of endorphins which makes us feel every feeling and relive every memory, conscious and subconscious but what about death itself. Specifically, I want to talk about instant death. How does that feel? A bullet to the brain, a snapped neck, getting hit by a train...I'd imagine it's like getting knocked unconscious but you don't wake up. After that, it's just a whole lot of nothingness. Well no shit, this is depressing, it's death and it's normal to feel a little uncomfortable with it. I'm just curious, I guess, as to how it would feel. maybe it's just the exams getting me down. Or maybe it's the annoying thing that can't help itself but be what it is and the songs that I'm listening to really don't help.

Oh well, enough of my pointless whining. I'm gonna go "study". *shifty eyes*

haha, I've been listening to a bit of everything now. Ben L'Oncle Soul is amazing. Just sayin' :P

oh my fuck, three assessments in three days. what. I had French on Monday, Music today and Drama's due tomorrow. Which isn't that bad seeing as I've finished Drama to a pretty good standard. English notes are due in tomorrow and I haven't even finished a first draft of the actual thing.

A rapist and con artist get caught by the sheriff in a small town. The town doesn’t have much money to take care of prisoners so the sheriff gets an idea. He decides he’ll charge money to let the townspeople punish the crooks and use the money to keep them in jail for as long as he can. The sheriff figures even a short stay in jail will be plenty after a little “justice” from the townspeople.

The sheriff takes the criminals to the town square, handcuffs them posts and sets up shop. He tells the people that the punishment should fit the crime so anyone can pay $1 to kick the rapist in the groin. Since the con artist used his image to wrong his victims, anyone can pay $1 to hit him in the face.

After a while there are two long lines for the criminals. Some people paying $5, $10, even $15 to get their licks in. After a long while, a guy steps up for his turn and sees the con artist’s face is a bloody pulp and thinks “He’s so beat up at this point, he probably can’t even feel anything anymore. I’m not going to waste my money on that.” So the guy walks up and kicks the con artist squarely in the groin.

The sheriff sees this and hurries over and says, “Hey son, you can’t do that here.”

The man asks, “Why not?”

And the sheriff replies, “Because this is the punch line.”

"Every great magic trick consists of three parts or acts. The first part is called "The Pledge". The magician shows you something ordinary: a deck of cards, a bird or a man. He shows you this object. Perhaps he asks you to inspect it to see if it is indeed real, unaltered, normal. But of course... it probably isn't. The second act is called "The Turn". The magician takes the ordinary something and makes it do something extraordinary. Now you're looking for the secret... but you won't find it, because of course you're not really looking. You don't really want to know. You want to be fooled. But you wouldn't clap yet. Because making something disappear isn't enough; you have to bring it back. That's why every magic trick has a third act, the hardest part, the part we call "The Prestige"."

Much easier to understand than Inception but yet another amazing movie by Christopher Nolan. My God, I should really shut up about that.

So I realised, recently, that I've become more and more sane as I've written less and less in my diary but I've started talking to myself which brings me right back down to slightly insane.

I'm not really keen on saying much now but I guess I'm loving the fact that it's a Friday and it looks like it's gonna rain. Which means sleeping to the sound of rain. asdfjkl;

Not much to say.

HOSHIT

so I mentioned the Prestige in the last post but I didn't really elaborate much on it. The whole thing is pretty much a competition between two magicians and it's just full of mindfuck because that's what Christopher Nolan always does. He's amazing like that. And the whole thing is just asdfjkl; . I won't give anything away but it's just...yeah.

WATCH IT. IT'S LIKE-- ugh

anyway. that's enough of me and my prestige "fanboying" shit, i don't know if that even exists. Fanboying.

Well some people picked the perfect time to have a party. Apparently Mark is starting to get a little more social than he normally has been. Which is good because that way I can tell my parents that "if Mark has time to party, then I have time to party". Which begs the comeback: "Well that's just because he's smarter than you." And the rest of our grade's Asians but that's beside the point because Mark pretty much never goes out.

So yeah.

I don't think I've mentioned that I made a S'mores Sandwich. My god, it's the most heavenly sandwich you can get (not to mention the most sugar-filled). It's pretty much a layer of choc-chips, a layer of melted/toasted marshmallows and a layer of crumbled graham crackers baked and between two slices of bread.

Results: here and here.

So go ahead. Buy a loaf of white bread, a pack of choc-chips, a pack of marshmallows and a pack of Arnotts Arrowroot biscuits. A few tips: kinda bake each one by themselves ie. put the marshmallows on one slice and the choc-chips on the other and melt/bake them separately. Crumble the biscuits into about this size and sprinkle onto the slice with the choc chips. Slam the two pieces together and toast them for a little longer and there you go. A S'mores Sandwich. Eat one while watching the Prestige or something, I dunno. With a tall, frosty glass of milk straight from the fridge. <-- got that line from Garfield :P
Anyway, I'm gonna go "do some homework". Speaking of which, our drama draft isn't due until Wednesday and French wasn't due until tomorrow so that's good.

mmk, I'm gonna go now.

So a couple of things have happened over the last couple of days, interesting, at that but I think I'll leave them as memories rather than having to "document" them.

Anyway, the QYO finale was yesterday and I guess it was pretty good aside from the fact that part of QYO2 is full of the "too cool" kids and the other part of it is the over 18 group. QYO3 is full of naïve kids who are overall pretty crap to be around. JSE is just kids. and QYS is intimidating because everyone there is pretty much the elite group of the QYORG. Oh well, at least we played well.

There's this thing with my computer online access: for those who haven't heard about it, it's almost as bad as the school restrictions. Initially, I didn't mean for this post to be so complain-stricken and tiring to read but if you're still reading up to this point then...well...you must be pretty bored. Well here goes. Things blocked at home:
Facebook, tumblr, Blogger, Hotmail, 8tracks, youtube, reddit, wimp, Pirate Bay and twitter is getting there. What I mean by Twitter "getting there" is that it's not actually blocked, rather, it just "doesn't work" and what  I mean by it "doesn't work", is that I can log in but only after 30 seconds, and when I do, I can't click on anything. Sure, they come up as links but nothing happens when I click anything which, in my case, leads to hair pulling situations.

tl;dr: Anything I like using online will be found out about and restricted.

well, that's my rant for the day. I should probably stop procrastinating seeing as I have a French writing article and a Drama draft due tomorrow. Oh and I should probably stop playing this strangely addictive problem solving game that I've been playing for the last half hour.

The Prestige is a crazy movie. It's just asdjfkl;ajsfdkl;sajfkdls;af

so yeah. and so is Drive. It's one of those movies that starts really slow but it hits one point it just slams its pedal to the metal (see what I did there? ;D)

Anyway, that's it.

Man, being awkward sucks. It's like I can be the weirdest piece of shit with my friends but with her my vocabulary range just whips down to, i dunno, it's like being asked unseen questions in a French Speaking exam but...much less clinical. Yeah. That's how my day kinda was.

Yeah so I downloaded "This Means War" last night. MAN, I need to learn how to make gifs. I watched the movie on the plane from Korea, I like the whole kind of story-line and, y'know, no-homo but Chris Pine is kinda, well, good-looking. My bad. Not gay, honest. The whole brotherhood thing is really cool too. I dunno, I just like the whole two best friends and one girl situation. It's a situation I might've been in. Maybe. Well yeah. No. Actually I don't remember when I've ever been in that situation. Maybe I've thought about what might happen if I was in that situation.

Nevermind.

Oh man, I really need to get me a new blog theme. This one is starting to get pretty old.

So I figured that the last few posts have been a bit long and tedious to read so I'll try to make this one a little shorter.

For a start: I had this strange and sudden obsession with Jay Chou. Well, seeing as we're in this kind of weather, it was (what I was sure was) the last time I would see someone, I was tired, and that I'm that kind of person it was pretty typical to listen to some kind of sad and nostalgic music with the aid of RainyMood. Jay Chou seemed like a pretty good choice.

Eventually, I got to one song and it just sent me back into...I dunno, my vision went blurry but I wasn't crying or anything, everything went out of focus and I just kinda froze. It's just one of those typical, clichéd moments were the main character listens to a song and gets kicked into a flashback moment except I don't close my eyes like a retard I just stare at the screen and a wave of memories come flooding back. Smell, sounds, the feeling of a slight breeze and a pair of hands.

And now I've got a whole playlist of songs that I listened to about 3 years back.

So much for not looking back.

Oh well, that's a pretty short post.

I had something else to blog but I forgot. I'll post it next time.

so as a real quick heads up, they actually read the names wrong that day and switched my name for someone else's. In a nutshell, I won. Two gold medals: one for patterns and the other one for choreographed sparring routines. I don't know how we won that one. The first time, we got to about just after half way and I forgot. Just a stupid mind blank. It was embarrassing to just stand there and sheepishly ask the judges if we could try again. Second time through, we get to about 5 cuts in and everyone's watching really intensely and they're all wondering if I'll get another blank then SNAP the sword I'm using just breaks and the whole stadium just goes dead silent. Well fvck. I can't really sheathe it now, can I?

I sit down thinking nothing could get any worse than this. I've forgotten it once halfway through and now I've just broken a sword, I'm prettty sure I'm disqualified. Third time through, everything works and flows through and the next thing we know, they're calling up names for the next round and our pair wasn't called. Huh :/

About an hour and a half later, everyone is called down to prepare for the medals and awards. Everyone's sitting down and we're all tired and we all want to go home. Took them a while to get to sparring though. "Red and Cho-Dan-Bo aged 14 to 17 males Round one bronze goes to _____and_____" applause. blahblahblah. "Final Round Gold goes to EDWARD AND MICHAEL." And our team is just jaksld;fjaklfjdkla;jfdklsajf;dlsajfdklsa;jlfldk;sjflk;dsa;kd fjaskldfa
That was the most unlikely thing to have happened to me over the course of Nationals. Patterns was even more intense. This has a bit of context to it. In Korea, Round one I was winning, I was up top and it was all good. Second Round it was mainly me and a certain Callum. Come the results, he won by 0.1 points. I mentioned that before. Come the departure for Australia, we called a re-match at Nationals.

So waiting for the results in this situation was pretty intense so when they said "Silver Medal goes to" they knew about our situation, and duly made an even longer pause.

"Male Red and Cho-dan-bo 14 to 17 Final Rounds silver medal goes to...

-silence-

Callum ___."

That took a while to sink in. And when they finally called out my name it was absolutely jkals;djfkal;jfkld;ajgfklda;sjfdkl;asjfkdl;sajfdkls;ajfkldsa;jfklds;ajfkld;sajfkldsajfl;dsajfkdlsa;jfdkls;ajfkdl;ajfldk;fjkldsa;fjkdls;afjklds;afjklsd;ajfk;ldsa

One tear. That was the first time I had ever cried from happiness. Manly tear, no judging.

Anyway. That's all well. No more school music rehearsals, no more assessment until exam block and life is good.

I've been listening to this opera song called Don Giovanni. You know that piece in Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows where they're in Paris and Moriarty watches an Opera? That's the one. Here's a link to it and it's...well I think it's pretty intense.

Well, I'm gonna go sleep because sleep. If you read this whole thing then...well I'm pretty amazed that you bothered so thank you and I'm glad someone cares enough~

Disappointed. That's how I felt this afternoon. It was really awful. I dunno, having everyone expect me to get a gold medal was tough in the first place but not even making the finals was just horrible. ugh.

It was crap. It was so crap. It was just. Yeah.

Dinner was nice. I actually had a really decent meal for once.

So I've been listening to songs released around 2007 and 2008 like "Black and Gold" and "Just Haven't Met You Yet"

Writing up my French speech for Tuesday makes me feel a lot like a stereotypical English teacher, going into so much depth and getting emotionally involved with the characters in a three minute song as well as their situation but I guess that's already implied.

In terms of writing the actual speech, it gets annoying every now and then. Say, for example, you're talking to someone in English on msn or facebook or some kind of social communication instant messaging shit whatever, and you're typing french at the same time and you're really getting the gist of the French keyboard and suddenly a message pops up saying: "Hey man what's up? How've you been?" and you go to say: "Yeah, nothing much just a bunch of assignments that's all. What about you?"

Unfortunately, the keyboard hasn't switched over the keyboard regional functions when I went to reply so what I typed looked like this: "Yeqh nothing ,uch just q bunch of qssign, ents thqtùs qll : Zhqt qbout you§"

Not even kidding. A is where Q is and vice versa; W is where Z is and vice versa; M is comma; dot is either colon and shift-/ becomes the Sims Currency. Just you wait till you hear about the row of numbers. There's a lot more to the French keyboard than that but I'll leave that up to you to learn. I learnt the hard way and went through typing articles in French until I got good at it.

I guess you can always go for the OSK (On-Screen Keyboard) or the Google Translate Keyboard (that's how I learnt the Korean Keyboard).

asjdfkl;
someone caption this. please. I can't come up with something cute, it's just like dog was napping and he heard Jack, the owner come back with a tennis ball and in his head he's just like BALLBALLBALLBALLBALLBALLBALLBALLBALLBALLBALL shit, where'd he go. Then he sees it and he's so happy that when he runs past the cat, he nips a little cheeky kiss and runs off, leaving the cat stunned. What.

I dunno, it's a Friday afternoon and I'm sick of doing assignments.

I've figured that the best insults come from the most intelligent people. Like from John Bright: "He is a self-made man and worships his creator" and Mark Twain: "Why do sit there looking like an envelope without any address on it?" Or perhaps Mae West: "His mother should have thrown him away and kept the stork."

Ok well, I think that's through and my thirst for that bit of leisure has been quenched so I'm gonna go back to my French assignment.

Less than a day till Championships ajkl;dfjsakl;fjdksla Come to Logan Metro Indoor Sports Centre tomorrow at like 10 if you want to come along and watch. Completely pumped.

This is what happens when my brain explodes and a billion things skip and trip over and make a doggypile run through my brain in a split second.

Except for this joke.

So Jane asks Tarzan if he knows what sex is...
He asks, "what sex?". So she explains the mechanics and asks if he's ever done that. Tarzan says, "yes, with hole in tree".
Jane says, "no, no, no, this is where you're supposed to do it", and lays down on the ground with her legs spread open, gesturing Tarzan to mount her.
So Tarzan approaches, raises his right foot, and smashes down on her crotch as hard as he can. After several minutes of Jane rolling around and writhing in pain, she finally asks, "Dear god, why in the world did you do that?" To which Tarzan replies, "Check for squirrels."

Clazziquai - Lazy Sunday Morning
Found it on this blog. New favourite chill song~

I think that dreaming every night for the last 6 months is finally taking its toll. Headaches, dizziness, constant fatigue and whatnot. As interesting as these dreams have been, I don't think it's doing me too well. I don't think that helps with the fact that I'm leaving for China soon nor the fact that I'll be having dinner at 1 in the morning while thinking about all the things I could be doing for the next two weeks.

For some odd reason, I can't actually follow people on twitter anymore. It just doesn't work :/ If anyone's got a solution, go ahead and comment or something.

Welp, I'm just gonna leave this here and be on my way.

A la Prochaine~
Last day of work experience was unforgettable. Seriously, I think this whole "experience" thing was amazing. It started off pretty bland with photocopying and book-moving but it ended with a full scale professional concert.

Today started off with a half-day in the office. It seemed a little boring but we got through it. Putting stickers on envelopes and putting stuff in the envelopes doesn't seem to hard until you realise that half the "stickers" are actually stickers. I ended up writing names and addresses onto the envelopes. After that was done, we finished at around 12:15 and left with a bit of chocolate from our supervisor.

What sucked was that I forgot my Go Card so I walked around West End for a bit until my bus came along and I got charged around twice as much as I should've because I didn't have my ID card. -sigh-

Having gone to Garden City to buy a CD, I bumped into Cyrus and Ray at their work experience place :D They happened to be working at eCosway which was funny because I didn't think that either of their accents were going to help them sell anything. Mum ended up buying something from the shop so I had a lot of time to talk to the boys.

ROMA STREET. Oh god, the place is beautiful. I took a few pictures and yeah, I can't get them up, but I'll try. I spent the first 15 minutes doing a stage-check and the next two hours were spent handing out flyers. In other words, talking to strangers. I dunno about you, but I find that a lot of fun. I came across a French couple who were talking and looking at a laptop they brought along. I had a bit of a chat with them and told them I was studying French at school. The girl turned the laptop so that it was facing me and it turns out, she was skyping with her parents overseas. That's pretty sweet. So yeah, it was fun.

To be honest, I think I'll actually miss my work place. The people there are so nice and I can even use the kitchen whenever I want to make some tea with biscuits. From the cute girl in marketing to the Stage setup Manager, they've made my work experience awesome so a big shoutout to them.
Even though they'll never see it anyway. Oh well.

So yeah, I don't know what to do now. I'll be leaving for China in about 20-something hours from now. I'll just post this thing from the Oatmeal about dogs:
You can find the original post here.

Well have a good holiday for those who are on holidays and for those who aren't, well, I dunno, good luck in  trying to get laid or sumthin', loljk, I dunno.

How about just,

I think that works.

on Thursday, September 20, 2012

So every time you go to deactivate your facebook, if you ever do, it asks you if you're sure if you want to then tells you that 5 specific people will miss you. My reactions to each:
Probably not, maybe, nope (unfortunately), nope and I'm not sure. Oh well, looks like I'll just spend more time on tumblr and twitter.

Fourth day of work experience started off with a whole lot of nothing then a whole lot of everything. Since I didn't pack any food nor did I have the chance to buy anything, I pretty much starved for a day. I think we spent an hour packing up the rehearsal and another hour packing it all into trucks. When we got to Roma Street Parklands, we spent about 2.5 hours setting up the stage. Never. Again. Gettin' real tired of your shit, double basses.

What I like about the stage crew is that we can swear at each other even though we've only known each other for about 5 hours in total. Like: "OI STEVE, CAN YOU GET ME SOME PEGS, THIS FUCKING MUSIC WON'T STAY RIGHT." So yeah, it's pretty casual.

The couple next door had a baby.

Oh my fuck, she's cute. Melodie (or Melody, I'm not sure) she's not even a month old but she's gonna be one hell of a kid. I got to hold her and I'm so ajsdkfl;ajskgdl;ajfdkl;sajfkdl;ajgklad;fj kdlsa;kjfkla right now.

It's so beautiful how life can be brought to the world in such a small package. It's so... I dunno, inexplicably amazing.

Holy crap. QSO is way too good. You hear them play some fairly simple piece and you think, yeah, well, that was pretty hard and they did it well so good for them. But then you hear them play Flight of the Bumblebee as if it's the easiest thing they've ever done and Mitch and I were like

Thing is with these guys, it's just that they walk in on their first rehearsal and when they start, they do a whole piece in one go. And the end, I just wanted to clap but apparently everyone else thought it was crap. well, y'know, they thought there were heaps of flaws.

I still can't get over how amazing the auditorium is. The acoustics are amazing and with the music, it's just magical. If I had a camera if only I had a camera, I'd take a billion pictures of it but then again, there's this sign on the door prohibiting unauthorised photography TT^TT STILL, it's probably gonna be knocked down in the next year because they're moving to the new ABC building in Southbank. I don't even know how many steinway grands they have. Maybe before they abandon the building, I'll ask if I can take a few pictures.

But for now, I'm just trying to find a way to describe my situation about a specific person as subtly as possible. Without giving away who or what it's about.

While I'm trying to figure that out, I'll just go and watch Alfie.

As always,

So my brother bough macaroons which are these beautiful little things. For those of you who don't know, I'm allergic to eggs and macaroons just happened to contain egg yolk. Which sucks. because. yeah. No, well I mean, guess I can just have their Oreos for them :D sounds good.

Day 2 of work experience was better than the first. A lot more active work going around with the bass auditions happening. Opening doors, closing doors, taking stools in, taking stools out and whatnot. Pretty easy stuff. I'll just say now, there are some freaking awesome double bass players. One of the basses had square edges on a part of it which was unique to the maker. Bloody amazing.

That being said, though, I still had to do some library work = =" at least 100 pages of photocopying and 2 hours of staple/binder removal. At least we got a lot done. And as the description says, it's an experience after all.

asdfjkl;

I think I'm gonna go visit the coffee shop down the road from QSO. Apparently, they make the best coffee.

As always

Oh and if you have any blogger themes to suggest, go ahead. I'm getting sick of mine.
on Monday, September 17, 2012
So since a bunch of my friends were blogging about work experience, I thought, hell why not.

So I go to QSO (Queensland Symphony Orchestra) for my Work Experience week. At first, it just seemed like we'd be sitting on rehearsals and perhaps joining in at times but it turned out to be much more than that.

I got there a little earlier since Eric had orchestra in the morning so I had nothing to do but listen in conversations that the receptionists were having. Best thing I heard all day: "The first five days after the weekend are the hardest". I kinda chuckled but just so they wouldn't notice.

kay, I can't be bothered going through the whole day so generally, it was pretty boring. The building was pretty dull but the auditoriums are amazing. Acoustically and aesthetically, they're amazing. If I had a camera then, well, that'd be awesome but no. Oh well. We're doing double bass auditions tomorrow so that'll be exciting hectic. That sounds about right. It'll be an evident contrast between the two days. I'm not sure about Wednesday though.

Being on the bus just after school with a bunch of 13 years olds isn't that fun. I mean, what kind of high school student doesn't yet know the difference between north and south Korea? She asked the Korean student "so are you from North Korea or South Korea?" I dunno man, she probably ended up like the North Korean who got so drunk that he floated down from North to South Korea. Welp. That's the iGeneration for you.

Oh well I'll keep you guys posted.

As always,

A la Prochaine.

guys. It's pretty much summer weather now. Which means it's swimsuit season o_O
and this is probably what I'll be doing:

Swimsuit Season

awww yeah. well no. actually, I'll be in China next week for two weeks TT^TT man I hope tumblr works there.

I really have to go to dreamworld/surfers paradise with a bunch of friends sometime. just as long as it's the Gold Coast and it's summer. and it's sunny, preferably.

QYO performance the other night was pretty crap, to be honest. I think something just didn't click with the orchestra. Oh well, at least we got to tie a piece of string around the entire studio while eating a slamburger. GET IT. like: Serious and the Lamb then the Burger. so it goes S.LamBurger. Slamburger.

I'm sorry, I'm tired so I'll just shut up now.

Not sure if any of you have heard of her. Perhaps you have but for those who haven't, she's amazing. Her real name is Jasmine van den Bogaerde but her stage name is Birdy which is cool because we're studying Edith Piaf who was born Édith Giovanna Gassion and Piaf just means sparrow. Birdy & Sparrow, both with somewhat confusing names. Huh. I hope Jasmine doesn't go down the same path.

So English Exam is tomorrow and I've accidentally written 1041 words when the word limit was 600-800 words. I'm expected to regurgitate all of it in 2 and a half hours. Easier said than done. Since I've been focusing so much on this exam, I've pretty much forgotten everything about maths so I'm screwed for that. Drama's on Friday and although I have a lot of time to prepare for that, I have a) no idea what to wear b) no clue as to what I'm going to improv and c) I don't even know how my group is going to react on-stage.

In other words, this is how I'm feeling:

7 September 2012
3:00pm
Have you ever been in a moment where you're alone somewhere but it's not like a sad kind of alone but more of a calm, tranquil alone. The moment where everything in the room just "sits". When your eyes feel like closing but you're not sleepy. When you just look around and think "hey, I this is nice" and you want that moment to freeze and never change. Like the peace after the storm, the eye of the hurricane. Peaceful. These moment are so bittersweet because as nice as these moments are, they won't last so remember these moments, cherish them. You mightn't be a photographer but take a picture anyway. You mightn't be a writer but write down how you feel anyway. You don't have to be an artist to draw how you feel.
3:18pm

A rendition of this afternoon's diary entry. Thought you guys might like it.
So I found a folder with 3 POTC movies in it last night

But I found another folder when I was just checking out my folders labelled "Just Little Things" named after the blog. As it turns out, I used to save their posts just so I could read them later and y'know, just smile :P Here are a couple of them

Anyway, here's the link and I definitely think you''ll like it. If you're on tumblr, by all means, follow it.

I should probably get on with my work seeing as my English In-Class essay is on Monday and I haven't even finished one version of it :/

HOKAY so, I've been a little busy lately since I just started doing cello lessons again and y'know, just, assignments/assessment items.

Day24.
1. Il y a quelqu'un qui je pense a lot about.
2. Travel.
3. Schoolwork.
4. Future aspects.
5. Food
6. Social events
7. Music

Day25.
Plain Personality, amazing looks or plain looks, amazing personality: Probably plain personality because that's something that can be changed with time but as always, perhaps, I'd go with something in the middle of the two. That's just...I dunno, off the top of my head.

Day26.
Things that make me feel warm and fuzzy. :3 ummmm
Particular types of music (The Garden Orchestral Version - Joe Hisashi) , "nice" parts in an otherwise intense movie/episode, old couples, sibling play fights,

Day27.
Picture of my handwriting? I'll post it later and reference it back to this post.

Day28.
Not anymore. I used to wish that I'd end up with some girl or that things would get better. Now I don't even stay up that late but when I do, I just reflect back on some things that I could've fixed up, things I should have relied on myself to do rather than depending on a wish to do something. Despite it all, I still believe in wishes.

Day29.
Picture of yourse-- nope

Day30.
Anything I want to post about. Which leads me to the post.

Seeing as QYO auditions are coming up in October, I've had to start up on cello lessons. Though I've had an excessively long break from lessons, I'm actually in pretty good shape.

Day22.
Picture of what I wore today: well I would but none of the cameras in our house are working so...instead, I'll have you use your imagination and picture what I wore today for my English Presentation which I got AN A-  XDDDDD

anyway: White polo ralph lauren button up dress shirt with blue vertical stripes Regent Striped or something; black dress pants and dress shoes. google it or something, idk :P

Day 23.
A letter. to someone. Anyone
Publicly? Really? well here goes.
Dear
Hey _________, it's been a while :P I don't know how you're doing now but I hope you're all good and schools doing ok for you. We haven't talked much of late, personally or online but I hope we can soon. I'm not sure about what I feel toward you but what I am sure of is that I miss you and I hope we can meet up sometime, sooner rather than later.

Regards,
Eddie.

SO. I watched Batman on Wednesday and I've gotta say that...Anne Hathaway definitely suits the role of Catwoman. Oh GOD she's hot. Just saying. But still, the plot is brilliant, casting is amazing and the music really gives it the edge. As predictable the ending is, it's still an amazing movie and I'll probably not go watch it again until it comes out on DVD.

Speaking of movies to watch, here's my list of what I'm planning on watching: Bournce Legacy, Total Recall and Looper.

That'll be it for now.

Day15 16.
Confess everything to everyone and probably trash my room for the fun of it. Get drunk and have a massive party so that when the world ends, I'll be hungover and all that I'll feel is the blinding pain behind my eyes. Maybe.

Day17.
Initially, I wanted to be a speech pathologist because I knew a few people who were speech impaired. Now, I've thought about being a teacher but speech pathologist keeps coming up since I think of different ways to go about it.

Day18.
Name of tv show that I've become addicted to: stuck between House and Whose Line is It Anyway.

Day19.
Places I've lived (been to): Australia, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong

So I'm two days away from disaster. My english is due and I'm still procrastinating.

Well shit.

After having read my sister's blog, I found out two things:
a) she owns huskies

and b) I might not be most likely not in the list for Leadership camp

on Tuesday, August 7, 2012
So I'm meant to be doing my English Assignment but I guess there are a lot of better thing I could do...right? Damn, I wish. Unfortunately, that's not the case and I should also be doing my IT assignment which is supposedly due today.

Well, shit.

Oh well.

Day13.
Three confessions: 1. I catch myself thinking really far/deep, 2. yeah, I used to be self-harming and 3. I reblog/like pictures of guys on tumblr. No homo.

Day14.
Picture of 5 celebrity crushes. 5 different ones?

Day11
Favourite quote: Not fuck, like in those movies. Not even have sex. Just sleep together, in the most innocent sense of the phrase. But I lacked courage(...)and I was gawky and she was gorgeous and I was hopelessly boring and she was endlessly fascinating. So I walked back to my room and collapsed on the bottom bunk, thinking that if people were rain, I was a drizzle and she was a hurricane. - Looking for Alaska.
Day12
Screenshot my desktop:

I think two a day should cut it.

I'm starting to get really, really nervous for my English review speech: for one thing, I haven't even finished it and the powerpoint hasn't nearly been completed. I've got a pretty good idea as to what I'm going to say in terms of improvising unfamiliar parts but still, yeah.

DRAMA. OH GOD THE DRAMA. Right. so in yesterday's post, I mentioned how I was writing my drama essay, right? I wrote up to around 500 words in 2 hours which is...pretty good in my standards. Come this morning, I set off to do my assignment where I did another 200 words. *Pats on the back*. Fast forward to my first subject of the day: Drama and, again we have laptops and I plug my USB in and BAM

gone. a whole assessment item gone as well as half my music.

Which is why I ended re-writing the whole thing from scratch 2 hours ago. It's a lot easier, now that I knew what I was writing about but still. Stupid me for not backing it up.

tl;dr always remember to back up your work.

Romeo vs Marlon Brando:
Romeo: "But soft, what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east and Juliet is the sun!"

Oh, the things I find on Reddit.

So I found this thing on my friend's blog came up with this 30 day challenge thing and here it is:

I won't do one everyday but just, every time I blog, I'll do a day until I'm done so if I forget, just remind me in the cbox thing on the left.

Speaking of which. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY BLOG WALKERS.

I think I'll go up to day 10 today, just to catch up.

Day1.
Write some basic things about yourself.
16, Asian, Australian, likes drawing and stuff.
Day2.
Likes: tumblr, reddit, blogging, drawing, exercise XD, HdGd, music, SNSD, magic and drama(s)
Dislikes: being sick, arguments, being behind on stuff, people who lip-sync, injustice, being interrupted, flaws in plans, bitches (ain't shit but hoes 'n' tricks :P) and slow internet
Day3.
Woke up at 7:35 and got up at 8:47 and stumbled down the stairs to greet mum good morning. Meandered a little until 9 and switched on the tv just to see SBSPopAsia. Watched for half an hour until I realised the music they were playing was...average. Aside from a few. Switched to channel nine and cursed it for replaying swimming again until they turned to diving. Walked over to cupboard to bring out cereal and then the fridge to get out the milk.
Holy shit, do I have to keep going? It's like 3 now.
skip forward a few hours.
Worked on Drama for 2 hours and had bacon strips with rice ._____.
had a shower
came down stairs and started blogging.
DONE. Up to this point, anyway. I'll just put it here that I'm having a haircut, maybe.
Day4.
Meaning behind my tumblr name: just another in the whereistheother series
Day5.
Five places I want to visit: Seoul, Tokyo, Paris, New York and London. Typical places but in no specific order.
Day6.
SNSD ummmmmmm I'm not sure but Katei has a pretty big influence on me to go and study different style of modern music. In his case, he went to Japan for a few years and did music there and came back with neo-classical music. pretty impressive stuff. But still, I do have a thing for SNSD. just sayin'
Day7.
What do I read? Sherlock Holmes and a few factual books. Next stop: biographies. Boring, I know.
Day8.
Three things I want to say to different people? I'm not sure, actually. Could be along the lines of "Can't wait for you guys to come up to Queensland in October." "Fast Eddie's pretty fast at Gumbups" and "Your grammar, your taste in music and your self-depreciation doesn't really help you get far. Just sayin'"
Day9.
Pet Peeves. People eating loudly, people cutting into people talking, and grammatically incorrect people like "Don't you wish you're girlfriend was grammatically incorrect like me?"
Day10.
If I had to pick one food or beverage to live off for the rest of my life? omgomgomgomgomgomg. i don't know DDD: Water for drink and probably fried rice or something.

Well that took longer than I expected. Maybe that's because I was writing this and writing my drama assignment at the same time.

Before I finish, watch this: http://youtu.be/PJnERje97jw

HOKAY so. It's been a while. what, like a week? i don't really care to know. so. i don't even-- it's 9:15pm and I'm already tired and my fitness levels are diminishing. which is pretty unfortunate :/ especially with leadership camp coming up. As I said last time, don't miss out on school in your senior years. Well, it can be ok sometimes especially when you manage to get yourself an extension for two subjects.

I've been listening to an awful lot of Epik High and F.T Island recently. I didn't realise how atrociously depressing it was until I looked up the lyrics and what kind of things they sung about: discrimination, sexual crimes, war, religion, education. The kind of things that the Korean Culture and Tourism tried to silence on air (Korean Times News). One song I've been listening to is Airbag by Tablo, the main rapper of the group.

F.T. Island, for me, is kind of a new found interest and it's growing as well. A 5-member boy band singing pop and rock. I'm still getting around to listening to more of their songs. 애인이 돼 주길 바래요 is one of the songs that I've been listening to lately. Their debut album "Cheerful Sensibility" isn't too bad either. Just looking here, their debut song, 사랑앓이 (Love Sick) topped the K-pop charts for eight consecutive weeks.

K. enough of the reviews. Haidong Gumdo Nationals are coming up and I need some good training.

I might go for a run tomorrow morning.
