Just as a quick update, the Internet here is just as bad as it is at home in terms of restrictions. YouTube, blogger, twitter, Facebook, and probably a heap of others are blocked. So yeah, we're about to leave for a three hour trip to Xi'An where we're going straight to a school which means my buddies here are gonna become superstars of the sort. Hopefully me too :3

Kthxbye

Clazziquai - Lazy Sunday Morning
Found it on this blog. New favourite chill song~

I think that dreaming every night for the last 6 months is finally taking its toll. Headaches, dizziness, constant fatigue and whatnot. As interesting as these dreams have been, I don't think it's doing me too well. I don't think that helps with the fact that I'm leaving for China soon nor the fact that I'll be having dinner at 1 in the morning while thinking about all the things I could be doing for the next two weeks.

For some odd reason, I can't actually follow people on twitter anymore. It just doesn't work :/ If anyone's got a solution, go ahead and comment or something.

Welp, I'm just gonna leave this here and be on my way.

A la Prochaine~
Last day of work experience was unforgettable. Seriously, I think this whole "experience" thing was amazing. It started off pretty bland with photocopying and book-moving but it ended with a full scale professional concert.

Today started off with a half-day in the office. It seemed a little boring but we got through it. Putting stickers on envelopes and putting stuff in the envelopes doesn't seem to hard until you realise that half the "stickers" are actually stickers. I ended up writing names and addresses onto the envelopes. After that was done, we finished at around 12:15 and left with a bit of chocolate from our supervisor.

What sucked was that I forgot my Go Card so I walked around West End for a bit until my bus came along and I got charged around twice as much as I should've because I didn't have my ID card. -sigh-

Having gone to Garden City to buy a CD, I bumped into Cyrus and Ray at their work experience place :D They happened to be working at eCosway which was funny because I didn't think that either of their accents were going to help them sell anything. Mum ended up buying something from the shop so I had a lot of time to talk to the boys.

ROMA STREET. Oh god, the place is beautiful. I took a few pictures and yeah, I can't get them up, but I'll try. I spent the first 15 minutes doing a stage-check and the next two hours were spent handing out flyers. In other words, talking to strangers. I dunno about you, but I find that a lot of fun. I came across a French couple who were talking and looking at a laptop they brought along. I had a bit of a chat with them and told them I was studying French at school. The girl turned the laptop so that it was facing me and it turns out, she was skyping with her parents overseas. That's pretty sweet. So yeah, it was fun.

To be honest, I think I'll actually miss my work place. The people there are so nice and I can even use the kitchen whenever I want to make some tea with biscuits. From the cute girl in marketing to the Stage setup Manager, they've made my work experience awesome so a big shoutout to them.
Even though they'll never see it anyway. Oh well.

So yeah, I don't know what to do now. I'll be leaving for China in about 20-something hours from now. I'll just post this thing from the Oatmeal about dogs:
You can find the original post here.

Well have a good holiday for those who are on holidays and for those who aren't, well, I dunno, good luck in  trying to get laid or sumthin', loljk, I dunno.

How about just,

A la Prochaine~

I think that works.

So every time you go to deactivate your facebook, if you ever do, it asks you if you're sure if you want to then tells you that 5 specific people will miss you. My reactions to each:
Probably not, maybe, nope (unfortunately), nope and I'm not sure. Oh well, looks like I'll just spend more time on tumblr and twitter.

Fourth day of work experience started off with a whole lot of nothing then a whole lot of everything. Since I didn't pack any food nor did I have the chance to buy anything, I pretty much starved for a day. I think we spent an hour packing up the rehearsal and another hour packing it all into trucks. When we got to Roma Street Parklands, we spent about 2.5 hours setting up the stage. Never. Again. Gettin' real tired of your shit, double basses.

What I like about the stage crew is that we can swear at each other even though we've only known each other for about 5 hours in total. Like: "OI STEVE, CAN YOU GET ME SOME PEGS, THIS FUCKING MUSIC WON'T STAY RIGHT." So yeah, it's pretty casual.

The couple next door had a baby.

Oh my fuck, she's cute. Melodie (or Melody, I'm not sure) she's not even a month old but she's gonna be one hell of a kid. I got to hold her and I'm so ajsdkfl;ajskgdl;ajfdkl;sajfkdl;ajgklad;fj kdlsa;kjfkla right now.

It's so beautiful how life can be brought to the world in such a small package. It's so... I dunno, inexplicably amazing.

Well, looks like I've found my soft spot.

Made a new personal blog which can be found here.

Well, I guess, for now,

Holy crap. QSO is way too good. You hear them play some fairly simple piece and you think, yeah, well, that was pretty hard and they did it well so good for them. But then you hear them play Flight of the Bumblebee as if it's the easiest thing they've ever done and Mitch and I were like

Thing is with these guys, it's just that they walk in on their first rehearsal and when they start, they do a whole piece in one go. And the end, I just wanted to clap but apparently everyone else thought it was crap. well, y'know, they thought there were heaps of flaws.

I still can't get over how amazing the auditorium is. The acoustics are amazing and with the music, it's just magical. If I had a camera if only I had a camera, I'd take a billion pictures of it but then again, there's this sign on the door prohibiting unauthorised photography TT^TT STILL, it's probably gonna be knocked down in the next year because they're moving to the new ABC building in Southbank. I don't even know how many steinway grands they have. Maybe before they abandon the building, I'll ask if I can take a few pictures.

But for now, I'm just trying to find a way to describe my situation about a specific person as subtly as possible. Without giving away who or what it's about.

While I'm trying to figure that out, I'll just go and watch Alfie.

As always,

So my brother bough macaroons which are these beautiful little things. For those of you who don't know, I'm allergic to eggs and macaroons just happened to contain egg yolk. Which sucks. because. yeah. No, well I mean, guess I can just have their Oreos for them :D sounds good.

Day 2 of work experience was better than the first. A lot more active work going around with the bass auditions happening. Opening doors, closing doors, taking stools in, taking stools out and whatnot. Pretty easy stuff. I'll just say now, there are some freaking awesome double bass players. One of the basses had square edges on a part of it which was unique to the maker. Bloody amazing.

That being said, though, I still had to do some library work = =" at least 100 pages of photocopying and 2 hours of staple/binder removal. At least we got a lot done. And as the description says, it's an experience after all.

asdfjkl;

I think I'm gonna go visit the coffee shop down the road from QSO. Apparently, they make the best coffee.

As always

Oh and if you have any blogger themes to suggest, go ahead. I'm getting sick of mine.

So since a bunch of my friends were blogging about work experience, I thought, hell why not.

So I go to QSO (Queensland Symphony Orchestra) for my Work Experience week. At first, it just seemed like we'd be sitting on rehearsals and perhaps joining in at times but it turned out to be much more than that.

I got there a little earlier since Eric had orchestra in the morning so I had nothing to do but listen in conversations that the receptionists were having. Best thing I heard all day: "The first five days after the weekend are the hardest". I kinda chuckled but just so they wouldn't notice.

kay, I can't be bothered going through the whole day so generally, it was pretty boring. The building was pretty dull but the auditoriums are amazing. Acoustically and aesthetically, they're amazing. If I had a camera then, well, that'd be awesome but no. Oh well. We're doing double bass auditions tomorrow so that'll be exciting hectic. That sounds about right. It'll be an evident contrast between the two days. I'm not sure about Wednesday though.

Being on the bus just after school with a bunch of 13 years olds isn't that fun. I mean, what kind of high school student doesn't yet know the difference between north and south Korea? She asked the Korean student "so are you from North Korea or South Korea?" I dunno man, she probably ended up like the North Korean who got so drunk that he floated down from North to South Korea. Welp. That's the iGeneration for you.

Oh well I'll keep you guys posted.

As always,

A la Prochaine.

guys. It's pretty much summer weather now. Which means it's swimsuit season o_O
and this is probably what I'll be doing:

Swimsuit Season

awww yeah. well no. actually, I'll be in China next week for two weeks TT^TT man I hope tumblr works there.

I really have to go to dreamworld/surfers paradise with a bunch of friends sometime. just as long as it's the Gold Coast and it's summer. and it's sunny, preferably.

QYO performance the other night was pretty crap, to be honest. I think something just didn't click with the orchestra. Oh well, at least we got to tie a piece of string around the entire studio while eating a slamburger. GET IT. like: Serious and the Lamb then the Burger. so it goes S.LamBurger. Slamburger.

I'm sorry, I'm tired so I'll just shut up now.

A la prochaine.

Not sure if any of you have heard of her. Perhaps you have but for those who haven't, she's amazing. Her real name is Jasmine van den Bogaerde but her stage name is Birdy which is cool because we're studying Edith Piaf who was born Édith Giovanna Gassion and Piaf just means sparrow. Birdy & Sparrow, both with somewhat confusing names. Huh. I hope Jasmine doesn't go down the same path.

So English Exam is tomorrow and I've accidentally written 1041 words when the word limit was 600-800 words. I'm expected to regurgitate all of it in 2 and a half hours. Easier said than done. Since I've been focusing so much on this exam, I've pretty much forgotten everything about maths so I'm screwed for that. Drama's on Friday and although I have a lot of time to prepare for that, I have a) no idea what to wear b) no clue as to what I'm going to improv and c) I don't even know how my group is going to react on-stage.

In other words, this is how I'm feeling:

7 September 2012
3:00pm
Have you ever been in a moment where you're alone somewhere but it's not like a sad kind of alone but more of a calm, tranquil alone. The moment where everything in the room just "sits". When your eyes feel like closing but you're not sleepy. When you just look around and think "hey, I this is nice" and you want that moment to freeze and never change. Like the peace after the storm, the eye of the hurricane. Peaceful. These moment are so bittersweet because as nice as these moments are, they won't last so remember these moments, cherish them. You mightn't be a photographer but take a picture anyway. You mightn't be a writer but write down how you feel anyway. You don't have to be an artist to draw how you feel.
3:18pm

A rendition of this afternoon's diary entry. Thought you guys might like it.
So I found a folder with 3 POTC movies in it last night

But I found another folder when I was just checking out my folders labelled "Just Little Things" named after the blog. As it turns out, I used to save their posts just so I could read them later and y'know, just smile :P Here are a couple of them

Anyway, here's the link and I definitely think you''ll like it. If you're on tumblr, by all means, follow it.

I should probably get on with my work seeing as my English In-Class essay is on Monday and I haven't even finished one version of it :/
